Clear the Wax clears samples for producers, artists, managers, labels and entertainment attorneys. Tell us what you sampled. We find both owners, send the requests, chase the replies, and email you at every step. You approve every quote.

  2. Send the clearance requests to both sides
  3. Follow up on a schedule so nothing sits
  4. Bring you quotes under your price ceiling
  5. Get the agreed terms in writing
  6. Track it to a signed license, emailing you at every step

  1. Tell us what you sampled and how you used it
  2. Set the most you'd pay
  3. Approve or pass on each quote
  4. Pay the rights holders directly
  5. Have your attorney review the final license

How do we find the owners?

We start with our own ownership records. Each one carries a confidence score, and some are confirmed directly with the rights holders. If a song isn't on file yet, we research it and confirm both owners before we reach out on your behalf.

Why speed matters

A track waiting on a clearance is a release that can't go out. Both requests go out as soon as you give the go-ahead, and we keep following up until the owners answer. Their reply time is the one thing nobody controls, so the sooner you send it, the better.

What we don't do

We never accept, sign or pay anything without your written approval, and we don't hold license money. We're not a law firm and don't give legal advice. If a track has already been claimed or taken down, talk to a music attorney first.

Every part of Clear the Wax comes from real clearance work: real deal threads, real timelines, real contacts. We built the service we needed when we were clearing samples ourselves.
